In the Stands Volume 16

It's hard to believe it but the Ravens are back. It almost seems like yesterday that the season ended
but here we are today and I think we are all ready for some football!!
I'm always anxious at the beginning of the season. I want to get started but I always
worry that I'm going to lose my section and my beer and well my fans.
Its great working the Ravens games and the money is kickin but imagine
being the life of the party at a football game with a thousand Friends and Fans.
I hadn't been selling 10 minutes on the concourse before the game when I got my first call.
Who's the Man??? I knew the Answer!!! Jimmy the Man!!!
My buddy Jimmy and his beautiful wife sit up in 106 and they always have cool things
to say and they are great customers. You may have seen the pick of the backs of there jerseys "Drunken" "Stooper".
Anyway despite the fact I was anxious I was also psyched.
I have been working out probably harder this year than any other in at least ten years.
I had such a bad day on the first game last year (physically)
I wanted to make sure that I was prepared and up to the task.
I took off a few months at the end of last season and then around the first of March
I began to work out with the next season in mind. Traditionally
I have always done more lifting than running or cardio but last season when
I broke my hand all I could do was run and it made the biggest difference.
So this year I have been running. I started running again in March and by May
I could actually run a mile without stopping in about 12 minutes.
Monday was my last day of training for this game anyway and I did a mile in about 10 minutes.
Let me tell you its one hell of a workout. So I run a mile and then I do 80 curls
on the 20 pound dumbbells and then 40 on the 30's.
Then I do 40 pushups and 40 set ups and I'm done.
Not much of a work out really but three to four times a
week it has really helped me drop some poundage and prepare fore the season ahead.
The game was well into the first quarter when I happened down between 107 and 109.
I hope this doesn't get me in trouble but it's my favorite section.
I think the reason it is my favorite is that in it I have the most fans.
And despite the fact it was raining and it was preseason most of you were there and I heard you.
J-I-M-M-Y!!! Too cool!!!
Well as normal the game started to fly by mid way through the third quarter when a
young lady in 107 ordered a beer and at the same time
"Play That Funky Music White Boy" started to crank and I just felt like dancing.
So I told the girl as she got her money out that she had to dance.
Well this other young lady in the isle above started dancing
with me and we started to JAM!!! Too Cool!!!
When I finally stopped everyone got a good laugh out of it
(with my dancing skills are you kidding) and I even got a high five from the cop at the top of the stairs.
Too Funny but yes a very good time!!!
So what a night!!! I little wet, a few less fans, but they don't call it preseason for nothing.
My conditioning worked well and I was second in the room
for total number of products sold VERY COOL!!!! Do to the new rules for attendance
I started the year 25th on the vending list (my first time out of the top ten for the season) but
I am more than sure I will move up after tonight's performance.
The Ravens didn't do too badly either. I know it's only preseason but I can definitely handle 24 to NOTHING!
Quickly before I go, I am going to make another try at a talk show so please
send me your email and I will let you know when to call in.
It's going to air on The Carol County Community Access Channel but hey I have to start somewhere.
